Where the wild things are
Sunday afternoon, Clint, Hil humored me by taking a group of the kids down into the Northwest Branch on a nature hike. Its literally at the end of my block and down we went into this gorge that runs N-S under the Beltway and up through Montgomery County. There was even someone fishing on the NW Branch- I guess they stock in in the spring. The kids LOVED it and can't wait to go on another hike. Even Michael made it top to bottom and back up to the top!

Cool! DNR stocks the NWB with rainbow trout in late March/early April. Cari was totally grossed out when I ate one of them that I caught back there but I figure it was in there for less than a week so it couldn't have absorbed too many poop molecules.
